Can you do it all?
One of the problems with people working online is signing
up for the latest and greatest affiliate or MLM free site
and then not doing anything with the membership. If you
want to be truly successful, you need to choose your
battles.
In my previous tenure in corporate marketing, I was working
on a large project and very close to getting a very
lucrative contract. The President of the company came to me
one day and wanted everyone to drop everything and go after
a contract that he wanted but he had zero chance of
getting. I tried to explain this to him and gave him very
sound reasons why we needed to stay focused. He could not
understand why I could not work 2 very large projects at
the same time and to make a long story short, I was
released--Fired.
Within 4 weeks, his company was out of business. He spent
everything he had to get this new contract and completely
ignored the contract I had been working on. He lost both
contracts and his company as well.
Many people do the same with Internet business
opportunities. They join something, then get distracted and
join something else. Very soon, they are trying to promote
5 - 10 businesses and in the end, none of their ventures
make any money. They have spread themselves too thin and
they lose everything.
Find a program or product that you can get excited about
and focus on that one venture. If you devote yourself to
one objective, your chances of success are much greater,
then jumping all over the place. Now I know the so called
Guru's will say that you need to create mutiple streams of
income and this is semi-correct. You can start creating
multiple income streams after you have a system in place
with one program and you can then help your affiliate
partners. The multiple income stream will come, but you
need one income stream before you can have multiple
incomes.
